Interested in becoming a member of the Over the Road Gang?
The objectives of the club are to promote interest in and education concerning various forms of automotive restoration and to create good fellowship among the corporation’s members and the community. We provide educational scholarships, make donations to other charitable organizations, and help preserve Forest Park and the general community of Ottawa, Kansas.
The club promotes safety in driving, automobile maintenance, and overall vehicle operation and interest in various forms of automobile activities. Our goal is to conduct club functions and activities in a manner befitting members of the automotive sport and to encourage a better understanding of the automotive sport among members of the public and other organizations.
Membership Information
Any person 16 years of age or above interested in cars and auto-related activities, and of good character, shall be eligible for membership in the “Over The Road Gang, Inc.” club. Membership in the “Over The Road Gang, Inc.” shall not be denied to a person, otherwise qualified, on the basis of race, creed, color, gender, age, national origin, religious, or political beliefs. Complete an application form and mail it to ORG, Box 843, Ottawa, KS 66067. All prospective new members must be introduced by a member in good standing with the club. Acceptance will require a majority vote by members present at the next regularly scheduled meeting. Notification of membership approval/denial will be made within two weeks.
Classes of Membership
a) Standard: Those members 21 years of age or older, including the spouse of married members. b) Junior: Those members who are 16-20 years of age. c) Associate: Children under 21 years of age who are dependents of Standard Members. d) Charter: All members who joined the club before the 1st day of March 1986.
Annual fees are payable on or before the club’s January meeting. New member dues are payable upon acceptance.
